Where to hold your event
For those of you without a suitable location in which to put a yurt we can arrange for the use of countryside sites in Sussex and Kent, or you could come and make use of yurt in the relaxed surroundings or Stanmer Park near Brighton.

Stanmer parked

As part of our workspace within Stanmer Organics we have a 24 feet diameter (452 sq ft) yurt on a raised platform set in half an acre of woodland. Over the past few years, it has been host for lectures on green architecture, visiting Tibetan Buddhist monks, a school for Classical and Indian Head Massage, children being taught a variety of subjects, pagan ceremonies, group bonding exercises, a Brighton arts group's workspace and our own yurt-making courses.

The Stanmer yurt can be hired as a workshop space from 9am to 5pm, seven days a week, for £100 per day, with an option to extend that up to 8pm at a further £15 per hour. This is a semi-permanent structure, not available for rentals outside Stanmer. Open fires and water are available on site.

"The College of Classical Massage has been running courses up at the yurt in Stanmer Park ever since 2003. It is such a beautiful and inspiring place to work and the easygoing pace it inspires always makes me thankful that I am able to work in such a wonderful setting. Matt and Mark have always made us feel very welcome and, because I mostly run my courses up there during the winter months, I still reflect fondly about the hot tea out in the elements and piles of wood being drawn to us to feed the fire. Thank you for sharing this space with us."
Michael Gibbons, Principal - College of Classical Massage
